hey guys, ive recently started to notice a bit of sluggish acceleration in first and second in the starting but then it goes back to normal and some times on idle the revs drop to nearly zero and go back to normal. what could that be ? help will be appreciated thanks :)

Could need a throttle body clean. I worked on an s2000 the othe day that was idling low.. I cleaned the throttle body, carried out an idle learn and was all good..

Could the acceleration be because of the weather? Heat soak?

Sounds like you should clean your IAC valve could be built up with carbon. Try cleaning it with this diy: http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/492738-how-to-clean-iac-valve/ . Also remember to let the carby cleaner dry first and reset your ecu.

Hope this helps

most likely ur map sensor ontop of the throttle body, there known to b a common problem and symptoms include very low idle drop and car acts as though its about to stall. have a look on s2ki for a diy fix for 'map whack fix' or something like that, usually just unplug it and make sure there is no dirt inside the plugs, also give the sensor a tap as this is also known as a quick fix. goodluck
