20% looks best imo. you might be disappointed with 35%, it's really not that dark at all. i've got 30% and it's still pretty light but no hassles

Nah don't want to risk it. How about 35% front, 20% back?

Anyone got a photo of how tinted is 35% and 20% greatly appreciated :).

Lets just say if you pick your nose at the lights, all will see on 35%

I would say Front 35% and rear 20%

even on 15%, i can still see you pick your nose on daylight haha.
why do you have to use nose picking as exampleeeeeeeeeeee lol.
why cant it be like bitchas giving blowies or something.

anything higher than 20% is a waste imo. i had 20 on my civic and it was good at night. but during the day, the inside is still visible. 20 is good though. anything lower and you'll have trouble seeing outside at night. i had no problems seeing outside at night with the 20%

20% front and 15% rear. you got to remember that if you tint the rear window as well, the rear sides will appear darker than the front side windows.

But if you get pulled over with less than 35% tint isn't it an instant canary?

Yeah I think if I were to tint the windows on the sedan it'll stay the same front/rear.. being two diff shades on a sedan will look odd.

Anyone been barred with tints before?

Mismatching tints looks fkn whack... and removing tint DIY isn't easy if you do get a sticker

Not really. Planning to do 20% black rear windows and a reflective silver or gold tint front windows. Because different.

Just a word of warning, when you apply 35% tint onto the car and measure it with the tint meter device it'll actually come out darker then 35%. So it's still possible to get defected if you're unlucky like me =(

was it because you put a tint on top of another tint? funny asking this but i was told some ppl do double up on tints without knowing theres were tints on the windows already.

like a 50% factory tint, even with a 35% tint on top it'll be alot darker .. pretty sure mines like that, very light tint

That may have been the case, im not 100% sure. When i went around places to get my defect cleared i was just told by the mechanic that when you apply the tint, the window will take off about 5%.

When i got defected, the police checked the tint and it read 23%. I got it removed and then had 35% tint applied (not knowing that it may read 5% darker) and when i tried to get it cleared it read roughly 29% so i couldn't get it cleared. I had to redo everything and just took the safe road and applied 40% tint.

It may have been a double tint scenario but i'm not sure.

^why didn't u just try to get it cleared without tint at all?

That would of been the best way to go. I guess it just seemed more
convenient + cheaper to get it removed and applied at the time since i wanted tint haha.

35% front and 20% on rear windows .... apparently front tint has to be lighter than the rear i believe its due to how clear you can see the side mirrors at night

I got done for 20% tint in Vic, first thing the cops checked when I got pulled over because it so obviously illegal at night. Looks so good though lol, apparently cops are cracking down on it
