How to register a car with no rego from another state?

Hi guys, i'm thinking about buying a car in Sydney, that was previously registered in victoria but now no longer has any rego.

How can I transfer this car in my name? and put nsw rego? what's involved?

Hi Mate

All you need to do is get a road worthy certificate for the car done in NSW and transfer over to your name.
Best to talk to your local road authority though if you have any queries…

Make sure you get a written receipt from the seller with the VIN, date, both your addresses etc. on it and everything else should be straightforward.
