Weather shouldn't differentiate the oils you use as your engine oil will always be hot regardless.
How many km's does your motor have ?
General rule of thumb, low km's, thin oil, high km's, thick oil. Ofcourse every motor is different.. You wouldn't use a 0-15 on a low comp 6 cyl for example.
thanks for reply so i use average oil? :)

What oil are you currently using now?
Most cases, if it's just daily drive it wouldn't make a difference.
If you use it as a track car however, you'd probably change
Which oil you guys recommend..
Anyone tired Repco Advanced 10W-30 SM/CF? its only 24$ lol per 5l

just keep it under 40 weight and you'll be fine
and it depends on your budget, preference etc..

my EK (D16) had similar (slightly more km's) and i found 5-30 edge sport too thin and burnt really quickly and had to be changed often, and that was just daily drive around city / suburbs driving. 10-40 i think would be way to go, and was also told by modproject would be best to use that as well
any brand will do? I'm looking for fuel efficiency, also with filter nothing wrong with Repco ones? They on sale for 7$ each

Spread some new oil around the rubber gasket on the oil filter before putting it on and don't go super tight with the sump plug.

Repco oil is made by penrite. So its good quality stuff and the filters are made by the same manufacturers that make OEM filters, so nothing wrong there.

tried all sorts of oil in my NA EM1 & XTi Fozzy, - even the royal purple & redline stuff...
i have found Castol Edge Sports 10-40w the best performer, but since the k's are increasing ive changed over to PENRITE 15/50+10W = 60W .. semi syn.
The Penrite is decently priced at SCA's and most of the time they have specials.
15 = cold start temp
60w = Hot temp
since your 160thou k's i would suggest no lower than a 15/40w combination.
Depending on how summer is going to be this yr, 15/60w would be the best combination to ensure engine internal protection for your beloved pride and joy.
If your ride is daily driven 400+k's p/week, then i would suggest oil changes between 5k-7k but if your ride is only doing 300k's then its safe to do oil changes @ 8k-10k.
Points to remember;
1) remember to replace oil filter on every change,
2) replace sparkplugs on at least every 2nd changes (this will depend on k's u do p/w).
3) fuel filter changes should occur at least once every 4rth changes (this will depend again on the type of fuel used and k's your doing)
4) Reset ECU at least every 2nd changes - i have noticed that by doing this, the car performs better economically and provides power.
5) Flush out coolant at least every 20-40thou k's and replace thermostat while doing this process.
6) Wash you car at least once a week! LOL
and while your at it, check the other vehicles fluid levels i.e Brake, Clutch/Auto transmission oils, Coolant, Washer bottle,
good luck and hope you will decide on your oil what is suited for your liking.

Just so you know. There is no second w in oil grades. Just one after the first number. It stands for winter. Ie when the oil is cold.
