Hey guys my cars electrics seems to be playing up, my car is a 1989 ED6 (D15b) civic and when i need to use the fan inside it doesnt work until i click over to 3, 1 and 2 doesnt work and 3 is too loud. Wat seems to be wrong? i tried dismantling the switch and re-soldered all the copper connections but that didnt do the trick. Any ideas?

mate your heater fan Resistor is blown, to achive each speed there is a resistor per setting to slow the fan down. so your 1 position resistor is blown, the resistor block comes in 1 peice with all three speed resistors on it, so just buy a new one from you r local honda dealer and put it in your self. you will find it screwed into the heater box behind the glove box, if your unsure, remove your glove box, take a photo, ill point it out to you.
