Pretty sure they are legal. And I've always wanted them even though they are fake, they look exact same haha.

It's illegal as they can be very slippery if you drive with wet soles ( from rain etc )

But cops usually dont look down there.

No they aren't? I had these on my old rice box. Actually way grippier than stock rubbers. The material is hard and rough. You can scrap your skin off with it easy peasy...

haha yeah why pay almost 10 times the price for pretty much the exact same thing.. is the law just that they have to be 'grippy'?

If they grip.
They will be perfectly legally.
I believe the compound would be graphite which has a combination of compounds, one being sand which makes the surface grip!

Should be fine

Yeah after a long drive I noticed that the bottom of my shoes was all scratched lol just the really light scuffs. A quick 2 minute walk and the scuffs are all gone.

They will wear ur soles especially from soft shoes like Tigers...

I have a genuine set.

They honestly feel the same as OEM. all my ricer stuff are gifts from family and friends so might as well install it haha

If you get defected ask the cop if he's game to rub them against his face if he think they're not grippy enough!

No this is incorrect.

Your foot must be able to grip upon the the brake/accelerator/clutch etc if it is wet. Basically there must be no slippage if the pedals were to ever get wet that's why 'race' pedals are illegal..

The compound on Mugen pedals is a graphite material with the main property of sand is stuck with an epoxy (glue) so it won't come out... Believe me as Ive said this before... These are much better then the rubber material that you would generally have in your car... Go spill water on them deliberately or just wet them up then try and slide your foot up and down...

At the end of the day they will be classified 'illegal" as they are not ADR approved which is what sucks but im sure an engineer would sign off on them.

Yeah like what he said the Mugen pedals, genuine or copies are not affected by water! They're pretty awesome

The accelerator will be though... its all metal! I mainly drive my car on weekends and during the day you'll find me in thongs. So I drive bare foot quite often also. These pedals feel great on the bare foot driver such as myself. The rubbers on the s2k/dc5r are quite harsh though....

What's the worst that could happen if your pedals are wet and you slip off the accelerator? You stop accelerating and loose the race lol. The stock acc pedal is plastic, there is no grip in that

you intend to brake, slip off the brake pedal and run into someone.

This happened to my cousin and nearly happened to me on a few occasions.. I'm actually seriously considering getting these since I've been in a mates car that had them and they're extremely grippy!

I hate rice pedals though.. So might get them then spray them black lol.

Tai is actually incorrect; They grip very well.

accelerate fast, person behind follows to make the lights.
You slip off the pedal & stop accelerating, person behind isn't fast enough to stop, bye bye rear bumper.
