Hey guys quick question. I just want to know if its safe to drive the car if the Shift Linkage is hitting the Catback abit. Reason why i ask is because i just changed my catback to OEM and because iv got a short shifter,
i think it hangs lower than OEM causing it to hit the Catback?

Iv removed the middle hanger so that the catback hangs a little lower,
it definitely clears more now because the Shift Linkage goes back to the middle on its own when im pushing it left to right (what you usually do when you wanna check if the car is in Neutral or not).

Yeah it's fine. Is the heat shield still on? Normally if you remove that you get more clearance and that fixes the issue.

What short shifter are you using?

Alright cool :), im not too sure, i think it might be on.

I just took of the middle hanger now it hangs a little lower, much better clearance but you can still hear the grind when moving side to side.

Yeah same with me, it's not too big a deal but if the heat shield is on take it off. Saves weight too. If you're worried about the heat then just heat-wrap that part of your exhaust.

heat will def. increase if you take off the heatshield.
i gots no heat shield and gear shifter surround gets warm after 15mins driving.

epic radiant heat on summer no lie no homo.
