I'm moving up to Sydney soon, have been wondering what are the laws on turning when the buses are behind you? I mean let's say you want to turn left and it's a small road and there is a bus behind you and the light is red. Last time I was there the bus honked at one guy who was in that position. I did not get my license in aus and I've never driven on a big city. Singapore is slightly easier and less intimidating to drive around in. Any tips for driving around Sydney?

maybe it was a red light to go straight but a giveway to turn left.

either way the bus can wait u dont have to enter danger because a bus is behind schedule or thinks u can make it.

or maybe its a green left arrow with a red straight. either way its pretty self explanatory busses dont have special rules so dont worry, just remember not to cut them off because they are heavy machines.

Also saw a bus turn left wide and side swipe a car making a left turn in the next lane. Was quite intense when the car swerved into the bus lane in front of the bus to prevent the bus leaving.

LOL i have seen simular stuff, just remember busses are long and are driven by ppl on a tight schedule so dont overtake or sit beside them in double turning lanes. i remember one time seeing a buss infront of me turn left at the lights and a daiwoo turn left beside it. longs story short the busses front n rear were sticking into the daiwoos lane (even though the wheels were in its own) and the lady driving flipped out and hit the breaks. having said that she was talking on her mobile so she wasnt to attentive.

^ This is true. I dont like buses or big vehicles in general when i'm in the Jazz. You know the feeling when your on the highway and there are two big ass trucks on either side of you and your just thinking "must...keep...wheel...straight...OR DEATH!"

i got them from otomotto in paramatta.. but they dont stock rims they just import them so i think i have the only set in australia lol. they are speedline 16x7 +40 rims custom sprayed in matte black by the previous owner. pretty sure these rims have been discontinued by speedline.

Cusco Wagon Z? the entry level Cusco's that 999 had on Ebay for $1700. Honestly, the only reason i got them was they were local and i needed them THAT DAY. had my suspension basically not collasped and i needed to get to work the next day, i was have got something imported from the states that for less with better spec...

i NEED to uprate the springs for the back.... 6kg progressive isn't enough for my driving style. thinking 8-9 constant. from experienece, custom king springs are about 200 a corner.

link from that site was like 800 a set with tyres US... sooo like a 4000 here? i dont know, but that is the style i want, hockhiem mesh, black with red lip, 17x7, +38mm offset.

Advanti made a set last year, yr before, (they were literially put on run out just as the jazz went into to ger built... what was 18months ago... sooo rah), but they dont list them anymore. best i could find them then was $175 a corner.

going to hit up Z from stylish rims in slacks creek when i have the go ahead from the finacialy adviser. (read, my wifes says i can... *grin*)

pretty sure he had them, and i've already asked, and got a pretty good price on them and a decent set of kuhmo's? or however you speel it.. (it's been a big week, and my brains mush... too much coding, and dealing with stupid ppl)

16s are fine, just get some thicker tyres for them, prob get 205/50/16, excuse for spirited driving to wear the treads down :)

Not with the right offset. i was running 17x7 +38mm offset, 215/40/r17's and never had a issue. MIND you that WAS @ Stock height... :)
