Get a v8?

Its hard for us to solve a buzz issue through the net though seriously :)

Wear ear muffs before hitting VTEC. goddamnit we should launch a class action lawsuit against Honda for not warning us how frigging loud VTEC is. It's like listening to classical music that suddenly changes to hardcore death metal.

Car ? Motor ? Mounts ? Stereo ?

Buzz could be anything.

its from exhaust under load

sound is typical ricer fart can kinda buzzing sound that you hear from 90% of hondas

is it due to dead/poor quality muffler?

system is a custom 3 inch header back
still has cat
1 large res 1 small res and 1 muffler at the back

Might be a cracked weld, rust hole or as you say burned out muffler

Just curious what you're running to require such a massive exhaust?
The ricer 'fart can' noise is because people put an exhaust on that has not alot of sound resonating qualitys (Simply adding a cannon also has this effect)
So, downsize your exhaust, put a Resonator in, or live with the noise.
Could also be your heat shielding above your muffler/exhaust piping.. With alot of noise they will vibrate and piss you off.

thanks guys
i'll have a closer look next time to check if there is any holes or broken hangers
i already welded up one hole a couple of weeks ago so maybe theres another
might check the cat too if that has collapsed

jccck: where is the heat shielding your talkin bout?
on bolted to the body in the tunnel?

I hate that sound, it cheapens the brand lol

I thought it might be caused by too large a diameter exhaust
