hey i just almost completed a engine swap on my honda civic converted it from d15b4 dual carby engine to d15b jdm fuel injected vtec engine. the only wires i have to connect is reverse lights ac and ac relay but besides that iam driving it around no problems.

With the swap i prety much had everything but a complete wiring loom i had the engine and gearbox driveshaff which were the same as the one i had and gear stick levels which they were also the same as the ones i had.

The engine bolted stright into my car no problems but with the loom my mate had a front cut of a predule which is got when he put a h22a into his accord so there was the loom left over as he did not use it.

All the connection off the predule loom connected stright up to my engine but the fuel injectors loom did not. I had to use the jdm ones which i had from there. We had to connect the wires up to the computer as we cut all the sensor off the predule loom which was the biggest head f***

We had to install a external fuel pump as my carby engine had a fuel tank that did not let u put in a internal pump so i grab a external pump off a vn commodore which might be a over kill but works fine and for the fuel fitter i also got that off the front cut as the fuel rail had special connection. I also had to grab the main ralay out of the front cut as my car did not have it.

My car is running fine and have noticed the 23hp increase and i recommoned to all that have carby engines. as it only cost me total 1000 dollars to do this swap that was for the engine and frieght for the engine to my door oil and water air filter and so on.

I have pics for people to see just drop your email and ill send it.

toE edit - Proof read! ;)

This is the SOHC VTEC swap? Nice work. It's a responsive engine and a lot of fun from what I hear.

Kudos on doing the swap.

BTW - feel free to tell the grammar nazis to f*ck off and get a life. :D

Good on ya for doing the swap.

Did you have to replace the fuel lines at all?

i did have to replace the rubber hose under the bonnet and under the car just to connect the fuel pump but the metal pipe that was already there was fine but the fuel return pipe was smaller than it should be but it did not matter as it is running fine
