Are you referring to subwoofaz? LOL
if so, the clearance of the rear strut brace will depend on how big your subwoofa or box is.
I believe there is a thread about covering this b4, and others have bought/custom made their boxes which sits right behind the cavity of the rear tailights or custom box using your spare tyre cavity.
Someone at one stage i think was selling these custom mould especially made for hatches to suit EK for fitment of a subwoofa ...fully sik!! :P
Search it up yo!

Just get a slim sub and you'll be fine.
If your car is for street only, don't even bother with a rear strut brace. Won't do shit and looks fugly after you cut out the caps.

thats why u get a coupe :D, boot space with room to chuck a rear strut brace, but if u do want one, deffs get a slim line sub, if u like ur music in the car, a slim line sub is the way to go, if u like ear deafening, than prbs as mentioned, a boot mold or custom sub box is the way to go

I've got an ek9 strut brace along with this jaycar sub box (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=CS2526&keywords=enclosure&form=KEYWORD) and it fits okay
I still manage to fit a full sized jack along with a bag of tools, fluids, pair of cheap camping chairs and some umbrella's :)

this will depend on;
Brands,
Power handling,
Size,
etc.
look round the 2nd hand joints, u might be lucky to get a set for $150 ..
i got myself a 12inch fusion DVC rated @ 1800w 2ohms and 2400w @ 1ohms stable.
and the top of the line Jaycar response digital amp rated at 1200w RMS @ 4ohms, 2100w RMS @ 2ohms and 3000w RMS @ 1ohms.
Powerful amp and both items were still in as new condition with boxes, manuals, receipts.
got it for bargain buys $200 the lot.
