Shakey motor??? Help

Iv done a b18cr convertion to my vti civic and I ran a hondata s200 as the ecu and it starts fine but it's just heaps shakey it's got no exhaust on it ATM could that be y??

Engine mounts? All in good cond, maybe the idle point is to low have you got more specs maybe what your idling at?

how long was the motor sitting? check spark plugs ect

Is the motor idling fine ? Or jumping around struggling ?

the motor runs fine just shakey.. i played with the timing and it helped it abit still abit wild but how many mounts are there spost to be??

check the engine mounts make sure or the mounts are bolted on tightly

3 main mounts. bet $2 mounts are busted.

especially if the motor was from an importer and all u did was just out and in install... without even doing all the belts, water pump, thermostat, timing adjustments, spark plugs, oil, filters etc etc..

possibly a leak or open vacume hose too ..., crappy fuel delivery (injectors etc)

was the s200 tuned for a different motor? or it came with the motor?.

also if you dont have an exhaust fitted, (only the exhaust manifold) ...then the O2 sensor readings will be off as there is no exhaust back pressure - this will definately cause your s200 ecu to retard and your entire engine/car will shake like what yo momma gave ya!! :P

Switch it off and put exhaust/sensors on ..then start from there..

you might cause engine damage due to detonation ...

^^^ o god you just did a b18cR conversion and you don't know where the mounts are or how many they are.. Were your eyes closed or opened lol u sure u didn't install a d18Cr?

$6 on the mounts are all there, probably half tight, and the s200 isnt tuned for b18cr

The s200 is tuned for a b18cr and I have 3 mounts on it all tite but I still need to wire an o2 sensor to it.. So maybe that's the problem I just wanted ppls thoughts on it that's all

Maybe you got race spec engine mounts?
