Just a question - why are exedy clutches so expensive? It seems like they come in at around 2x - 3x the price of other clutches of the same stage / type. So what is the big advantage?

Ohh ok then, I stand corrected. The stage 1 and 2 kits are quite cheap. But what is with the $1100USD price tag for the stage 3 units (not that I want one, just interested to know)?

Yeah it's a 6 puck ceramic, sprung centre. But the ACT and SPEC six puck ceramic clutches are nowhere near that price. Anyway link is here. When people say they have an "HD exedy organic" setup, is that stage 1 or stage 2?

Generally an Exedy organic is a stage 1 kit, a thick cerametallic three puck is a stage 2, and a thin cerametallic 3 puck is a stage 3. Well thats for an accord anyway! ;)
