LMAOOO. sorry for laughing but i know why it skipped.
-you didnt adjust belt tension
-probably turned motor clockwise, tensioner only work 1 way (CCW).
-you didnt verify belt tension after hand crank 5-6 crank revolutions.
next time please have your service manual handy when working on precise component like timing belt.
no one here can tell if block is fine or not. you gotta open it up and see for yourself.

Bad luck bro. I hope the mechanic did it and not you. Just go back and tell them. They should supply and fit new engine for you. This happened to a fries T Honda.

You need to ask questions that people can answer.
No one can tell you weather your engine if ****ed or not.

rev it to 9000. see if it's good or not. if nothing happens while revving then you know your second daily still fine.
or you can open head to verify damage.
either way, I wish you luck.
Sean.

Sean.thats one powerful starter motor.

I seen it in YouTube . Some guy had a toda starter motor and no engine. It ran 15s in an eg. Not too bad.
On topic. Your engine is stuffed. Wouldn't bother.

have you tried sorting it out with fair trading nsw?
bar the motor by hand,, crack test the block and head,, it's not as simple as some people put it out there when timing belt snaps

I still don't get why you're asking a forum that has never seen your engine....
all the while the evidence is right in front of you.....

if it's been running dry best if you check oil pump while you're at it,, severe scoring backlash etc

well first drain the oil,, if you find little bronze pieces you have just scored the liners and bearings pretty hard,,
a smashed oil pump is what youre looking for,,,there is more to it
