LOL i dont know if you guys have heard of jinyu tires (chinese brand). apperently I tried them out for a couple of months and found it okay till i sold my rims. now getting some fn01rc and looking for some cheap options atm just for everyday driving. Im thinking about getting another set of jinyus . there apparently 280 bucks for 4. ARE THERE ANY OTHER OPTIONS? if youve tried them or know of someone who tried them what are their opinions about it. so yeah give me your thoughts.

I use chinese tyres too. No fkn difference if you drive sedately. I went from KU31 to "sailun atrezzo zs+". $100 a corner in 205/45/16.

Not noisy, they grip fine. But mine have turned brown for some reason? Must be the rubber quality or something. Cbf using tyre shine lol

afaik tyres that arent as noisy have a lower tread wear rating, which means they are softer and will wear out quicker than a tyre with a higher tread wear rating which is noisier.

Its not about driving sedately, its about the unexpected times where you have to swerve or anchor the brakes suddenly. The biggest difference is wet weather driving. The shit chinese tyres are so crap In the rain its lyk driving on ice

+1 to this, because common sense is not so common.

I don't feel a difference in brake time or the 'driving on ice' feeling man. I've driven in the rain plenty. I never put myself in a situation where i have to swerve or brake suddenly but even if i did, i'm fairly sure these tyres would perform satisfactorily. Now cornering is a different issue, the rears lose traction at a lower speed than performance tyres but still good enough if you're just turning a little fast for fun as opposed to pushing your car past its limits.

You've never put yourself in an emergency situation that needed to brake or swerve suddenly, but you're confidant your Chinese tires will perform.

"Now cornering is a different issue, the rears lose traction at a lower speed than performance tyres but still good enough if you're just turning a little fast for fun as opposed to pushing your car past its limits"

totally contradicted yourself....

Just want to let you know. Nothing will test your tires more than an emergency situation. And you might only have one chance to test......

Good luck, your posts aren't worth wasting time on, helping,

I use cheap/sh!t Chinese tyres because they came brand new on my EM1 rims and I just figured I'd run them dead rather than replace new rubber.

They suck. Spins into second gear with my Y1, can't get decent traction on launch, have to be careful braking in the wet because it just lets go, and going sideways in the wet is ridiculously easy (even in the dry for that matter). I drive like a pussy just so that I feel safe.

Not recommended. Buy something good. Use your head.

I Would relate to him if he said that he can't afford good tires and he has to live with them, but he's saying they perform well.

Just my experience dude, used 4 sets of tyres and cannot feel a difference between any of them besides when hard cornering. Unless you take every corner at 80kms, i don't see how that would factor into your decision when purchasing rubber.

DUDE HUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! you said you loose traction when cornering @ lower speed compared to good tyres then @ the top you say

Yes! correct SUPAJDM. NO difference besides losing traction at a lower speed. (and brown tyres) Which would not matter if you don't turn SIK. My english must be bad :(

ok so losing traction while going slow isnt a bad thing for you? you dont mind that your FWD car looses traction when you drive daily?

u mad?

Seriously man, a good tyre will hold up under most conditions. You've said you don't push your car hard but you still notice handling issues. How much trust can you possibly invest in your tyres in an emergency situation? Stomp-braking? Quick-swerving? Not a lot. If you drive safely then hopefully you'd never have to see the extent of the performance of your tyres, but if you see this extremity in your scenario then it doesn't inspire any confidence for emergencies.

I kinda cheaped out on tyres on my bb6 prelude. however these tyres are good for dry and wet conditions. treadwear rating is at 240 i think. Hero HZ1's and at $135 a corner for 215/40-17 i was laughing. handle as good as Falken Ziex ZE912's. even lower tread wear rating than the falkens too.
Hero HZ1's are made by Federal aswell

When I bought 215/40/17's I went with the Kumho KU25 for $123/corner but that was back in...2008 or 2009. They were a good deal for sure.

^ true dat, the nankangs ns2 have "aggresive pattern".... Chinese tyres are really crappy, for one they do feel like your driving on ice in wet weather situations,
crappy traction, lose tread quickly even tho tread wear says otherwise ie bullcrap.

Shop around dude, you can pick up tyres for cheap, its not really worth risking your life or risk damaging your car just to save a measly $100 bucks
If you search around this website, its pretty cheap for high quality tyres just gotta pay for the shipping.
Assuming your running 15's
