 Hi all,
I've just won myself my an '89 ED Civic. Its a Gli by the look of it, with power windows, mirrors and steer etc. This is my first Honda, but not the first I've driven, not by a long shot. My younger brother use to have an 88 crx, older brother has had an EG Si for the past 10 years, Mum has had an EK VTiR for the past 12 years and Dad use to have a 95 crx before a truck gave it a nudge. But I've been toying with the other "H" (Hyundai) for many years. I still have an excel set up for club motorsport, but its currently undergoing a motor swap, I won't bore you about it anymore.
I was searching for a DC2R, but I haven't been able to find a good stock one within my price range. So I opted for a cheap daily to keep me out of the rain and off my road bike (bicycle) in bad weather.
The ED has been living on the central coast (NSW) and although I haven't picked it up yet, I have driven it. There are so many new parts that have been fitted to it in the last 12 months that it probably owes the owner more than the sale price...;)
Which is good for me and it drives great, a little slow, but great. It has a minor rattle/noise in the rear which seems to be coming from the inside of the body, as the suspension, wheel bearing and hub feels solid. The a/c compressor is worn out, but comes with a replacement, just need some of the old gas. But thats it, apart from that its sweet.
