what are some good recomendations. id like more of a bite when reaching the friction point as opposed to the softer standard clutch. any help would be great.

I would personally recommend an Xtreme Cushion button clutch w/lightened flywheel

Id stick with a standard flywheel or perhaps OEM EP3R or JDM DC5R flywheel....and a exedy organic clutch. Slightly heavier feel , crisper engagement and better longevity than standard.
Pm TODA AU about getting these parts - PM him or myself for fittment in Sydney !
u mad?

Im using a Completion Clutch stage 2 with oem jdm k20 flywheel.
Pretty good for street, bites hard and is still relatively progressive, has a bit of weight to it but nothing silly.

4kg ben? actually 3.9kg exedy right?
why hate it for street?
it felt fine in a b18, maybe k20a different feel? i.e. k20a rev faster?

Oem jdm fly is light enough as it is lol, wouldn't wanna go too much lighter on the street.

I totally agree. Anything lighter is too light , Too light that when driving when the car is cold/warming up and the clutch hobbles and slips all over the place. PITA. I guess its a combo of more torque , and heavier car weight that makes it abit of a dog when cold. Yes , I too had a light weight flywheel on my previous B18c7 , which I loved. But that was a small EG hatch (some 300kgs lighter !)
BTW the flywheel I have is "ultra light weight" - like 3.5kgs or something.

Exedy Sports Organic!
Good bite and a slightly heavier pedal feel on the foot

Excedy sports organic and Toda flywheel (3.9kg or something).
Good combo, and I don't have any problems with street use.

thanks for the help guys im steering towards the exedy sports organic. now just after a slightly lighter flywheel :)
I know it's a bit more expensive but I love my Ogura clucth (ORC). Great bite and still retains the soft oem pedal feel.
