View Full Version : Picture of your CRX Seat Belt Tags!! also will Civic Seat Belts fit on a 1987 CRX??

Hey all!!

Need some new front seat belts for my CRX, just wondering if i can fit civic belts of a similar age?(1987-1989)

1987 CRX Si.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Guys,

Just got off the phone to an engineer, he stated that if my belts match a COMPLIANCE CRX he can pass me!

Problem is, i need someone with a complied CRX to take 3 photos for me;

1. the Compliance plate
2. The Rego Sticker
3. The Seat belt TAG (white) with text being readable.

If anyone could help me with this, ill shout you a Big Mac next Cruise!!

tough question.

i see 3 problems ahead of you.
1. mounting point
2. mounting angle
3. size of buckle

you need to download the service manual for both cars
http://www.spoonertuner.com/manuals

then compare the degree angle for seatbets. if they're the same then it's compatible.

my assumption is they can be fitted.
EG/EK/DC2 have same mounting angle, point and buckle size for front seatbelts.

Having trouble finding the seat belt mount point angle in those manuals.

nothing about the seatbelt at all in the civic or crx ones.

i will keep looking tho! cheers for your help!

I dont have pics, but I remember pulling my mates crx apart, and working on my brothers ED Si, the front seat belts look in identical position. Im 90% positive they're the same.

Sweet! well either way im making my way to a wreckers tomorrow to see if i can find something of use!
