Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if there's a difference in quality between a $50 & $100 torque wrench? i'm just gonna use it to tinker with my little EK

and I was actually looking at the kincrome micrometre torque wrench 10 - 150 Ft-lb, 13.60 - 203.50 Nm.

I understand that this price is still cheap considering the ones that mechanics use in their shop.

Thanks.

cheap torque wrench will give imprecise torque reading set on wrench.
good ones will have very minor deviation from what you set on wrench. something like 1-2% off.

buy the best you can afford, its a good investment!

welcome abourd!!

buy $50 one if you only use it once in a blue moon.

or just borrow one.

$100 not worth it if you just use it less than 10 times..

in the immediate time, i'll be using it to check my spark plugs and replacing it. and if i have one, i'll be more conscious about over tightening bolts when working on suspension. I've placed an order for hard race kit for ek.

might use it for other things in the future.

general vehicle servicing, you will seldom need the torque wrench.

save your money.

Only needed for major engine work.
