i would believe this would be a re-post of another thread but i'll just make a reminder about it.

honda manufacturer warranty goes for 3 years and one is required to pay about $600 plus to $700 plus to extend the warranty for another 2 years; dependent on the current year's pricing. honda does not have any (i.e. one month 'after expiry periods') to extend the car warranty after the actual car warranty expiry date.

the honda dealership of supposedly '5 years' warranty is only valid if one were to service their vehicle regularly with the particular dealership.

anyways, i shot myself in the foot for not extending the honda manufacturer's warranty a year ago when i got the letter from honda. oh well, honda dealerships majority of the time are said to not diagnose the 'real' problems anyway.

FYI even if you were to have a full service history with the dealer, does not mean they will pay out on ALL warranty claims, especially once your car reaches the "extended warranty" period

they'll be like oh its wear and tear, sorry shit happens we aint bothered to replace it.

why would you service at a honda dealership when you can find decent mechanics and not apprentices that would charge you 1/4 of what honda charges for a normal service.
