Hi HIPSI:
Congratulation on the delivery of your Euro. Those 17" look great. damn, they only brought them in for 05 spec Luxury. They should have done that back in 2003, because that's when I got mine. (only 16" back then)

I saw a graphite 05 with the new 17s and it looked sweet! with the factory bodykit, it would be even better!

White has pretty much become my fav Euro colour. Nice ride!

i recently bought my euro as well. end of january i took delivery of it. i was considering white but ended up with graphite because i didnt like the ivory interior. which is also the same reason why i didnt choose black. :( but damn. new car and already slamming it on 18's and lowering. hahaha good stuff mate

Got the wheels on this arvo. They're 18x8 BSA 264's. Tyres are 225x40x18.

Pum[Z] the springs are Kings Lows. (25mm I think)

I must say again it looks awesome. I am plan on modding my car but dont know where to begin. there is barely no info for a guy like me on the net who knows nothing about mods and these things you put on wheels :P Any body got a website to help a fello like me to learn about these stuff?

Hipsi, nice ride mate, Your wife has impeccable taste !! Please report on the swaybar and camber kit (and some piccies when you get a chance) how it rides etc... Once again very nice.

Hipsi

haven't changed swaybar or installed camber kit. (I'm yet to look into the camber kit). The ride is really not noticably different from the standard 17's. The King springs certainly give it a firmer ride though. I would liken it to driving a std Euro, then driving a Mazda 6. The 6 has a more raw racey feel to the suspension, a very similar feel to what I've now got from fitting the Kings.

How much for the King Springs? :)

Hipsi

$330 fitted. The springs cost the shop $205.

Gibbo, Hipsi and Pum[z]:
what are your rims's off-set value?

I am thinking of upgrade my rim size to either 17 or 18s at the time when my tyres become slicks. I've just clocked 30000km on monday, in just 15 months.

Do your upsized wheels creat any rattling noice from any interior penals. eg. dashboard, door trim penals etc.? especially when travelling on highway with rough bitumen.

Hipsi
23-02-2005, 01:52 PM
what am I missing with the 888's in the alias's?

anyway, mine and Pum[Z] are +45 offset. 225x40x18 tyre sits just inside the guard, a perfect fit. I honestly don't notice any difference in ride quality between the 17's and the 18's. The difference came when I fitted the lowered springs, but don't experience any rattling.....at least not yet ;)

my rims are +45 offset. i have found the only reason ive picked up a few extra bumps are from the lowered springs - but interestingly enough i was talking to the Koni agent out here and he rang koni to get a price and availability on some shocks for me and said that Koni make shorter bump stops for the rear (apparently these can cause some knocking from the arse end. Any one else heard about these shorter bump stops ???
