Hey
Thanks for the quick reply
If the fuse is blown
Then how come all the other lights work ???
Only the driver courtesy light doesn't work
Like if the car doesn't register that I'm opening the door

Not sure mate. Never had that problem.

wtf.
so by 'everything' you mean that just courtesy light isn't working on the drivers door? if so, maybe change the bulb champ?
Do as bludger said and check the bulb, if thats intact then check the plug on the back of the light housing is still plugged in. if you still cant find the problem then you need to get a multimeter and start tracing back where your losing the current.

Driver's door courtesy light forms a circuit with the door open sensor (That rubber switch). So if you blow the bulb or mess with the wiring, the door switch stops working too.

The guy said all other doors are fine so obviously there is nothing wrong with the bulb because it lights up when any other door is open, just not the drivers one.
So the problem must be with the rubber switch on the drivers door. It seems to be faulty and not completing the circuit when the door is open. I.e. always sends a signal that the door is closed even if it's open.
I would attempt at replacing it with the passenger door's one that you know for sure is working and if that works then just source one from wreckers. Or you can just go to the wreckers directly as I can't imagine they would charge you a that much for this little thing.

The driver's door courtesy bulb is probably not working. Just replace that and the switch will work again.

Does it work off that circuit? Interesting

It should be a series circuit with the switch and the bulb on the same line. So if either one fails, the circuit stays open and thus does not change when the door is open or shut.

hey guys
as said everything else is working
the bulb is working as well
as i checked with the courtesy light on the passenger side ...
i doubt its the fuse , bc if the few blew all interior lights shouldnt be working ?????????
its really worrying me at the momment
as the open the driver door, the car doesn't register it
the dash doesn't even light up.
weird, all the did was took the bulb out and put it back in and it stopped working!!!

I'll check the wiring diagrams when I get home.

And here it is (click on the pic to view full size if your browser is resizing it down):

If you look on the right side, just above the MICU (15-B), there are switches 67, 68 and 69 which are the little triangles. Switch 68 is the driver's door rubber switch which tells it whether it is open (complete) or closed (incomplete circuit). If the circuit is left open at the bulb (blown bulb or not connected properly), then the circuit is not completed and the interior lights don't come on. Switch 70 should be the rear doors. However, the MICU is also the multiplex control unit that controls the lighting. If the bulb is fine and the switch is highly unlikely to be damaged since you did not touch it (it is designed to withstand thousands of door slams anyway), then the MICU could have been fried when you pulled the courtesy light bulb off and put it back in.
Here is a closeup diagram of the right section of the one above.

Unfortunately, if the MICU is stuffed you need to replace it. You can't repair it..... It is located above the driver's footwell fusebox. You need to pull off the interior kick panel which is just to the right of the accelerator to access it.

you are the god,
now all i need to know is, what MICU looks like
my question is and ignore my stupidity.
MICU from the wiring diagram, is grouped as 67,68,69
but you said those are the door switches?
im a bit confuse is the MICU a circuit board? what exactly isssert?
ill be checking out the MICU soon, today
but any help is appreciated?

after some research at work
i understand its actually a unit board,
going to seek places to buy second ones.
another question is, i have a sat nav
but never got a radia/cd factory security code ?
does a accord euro have one ?
also if i purchase a MICU does it ahve to be from a euro with a sat nav ?
