Hey guys, my parents are in the market for an 04 CR-V. I've been searching but couldn't find a conclusive answer.. To my knowledge all 02-06 CR-V's came with K24A1's but i've read that earlier models have timing belts whilst later models have timing chain's instead of belts. So can anyone tell me definitively if the 04 model CR-V has a timing belt or chain? (If indeed it be chain, at how many km's does it need to be changed) Cheers!

Chains generally dont need to be changed. You might need to tension it but thats it

from about 01 or 02 onwards, all CRV's come with K24's which are timing chains. No need to worry about service intervals or re-tensioning (provided you keep on top of your service intervals)
