valve bouncing?

When you hit the limiter and keep your foot on the accelerator it kinda 'bounces' as you hit the limiter again and again Lol.

EK4 limiter will be higher than EK1, like stated roughly around 8500 but probably lower on idle and ofcourse vtec is disabled.. mikecivic said it all, once you breach the limiter it sounds like your engines just goin bapbapbap if thats what you're talking about.. it's normal to bounce but wouldn't do it every shift for a DD

from google:

Valve Bounce is "when weak valve springs can keep heat transfer down, which can result in valve face damage. Too little tension also results in accelerated seat wear becuase the valve bounces on the seat." So when the valve hits the seat the spring does not have enough pressure to stop it and seal it against the valve seat. This can also happen during installation in which you bottom out the spring to install valve keepers, no longer allowing the spring to expand to its proper height and causing improper clearance.

rev limiter is not 'valve bounce' though thats what you may get when on the limiter. if you get what im trying to say.

8400 rev cut ..

and if you keep your foot down ..you will get the barpbarapbrap vtak just kicked in yo!! lol..

From what evey1 has said, its your fuel cut limiting the fuel supply which causes your engine to jerk or nudge! rather than a valve bounce.

Just remember to switch gears before rev limit or buy yourself a shiftlight if you want an auto reminder :)
