I got ej8 with d16y8, the engine is shaking and stall on idle. So when ever i take the pressure fuel regulator vacuum line from the manifold the engine runs good. So seems it is bad. what should i get oem FPR or aftermarket FPR?

aftermarket units are only $40 on ebay and come with a guage so you can see whats going on as well
they come in silver, black, red and blue

Yes, I was thinking to get ebay one. How to install it, what i gonna do with oem PFR. never seen one in real life.
From regulator> manifold
regulator>return line
Is that right?
Also does that sound that FPR is faulty?

yeah it does, other things to check is all vacc lines for leaks and maybe remove your charcoal canister
its a fairly simple installation
you just plum the new one in exactly where the old one was
but you have to mount it seperatly
you remove the old FPR and put it in parts box or bin
heres one i prepared earlier...

dude,
maybe your FPR's Fuel pressure is not set correctly, hence why the car has erratic idle?
what pressure are you running the FPR?
hmetro24

I think it is not the FPR, I have to check the pressure, could be Fuel filter is clogged or maybe because the car is running low on fuel. I will clean the fuel system.
I cleaned throttle body, ivac, idle everything. car is drive alright but it dies in idle.

Check fuel pressure.
Adjust your idle.
Clean IACV while you're at it.

Yes i did all that's, but still dying on idle. But still have to check fuel pressure.
removing Charcol canister is illegal everywhere. Also i Do not think it's the problem

Check your vac lines.
99% of the time the reason for bad idling is leaking vacumne lines.

i agree with this - almost all idle issues i have come across are due to split vacc lines or dodgey vacc line connections
only reason i said to check or remove the charcoal cannister is because they feed off several points on the TB/IM
annoying that its illegal to run without one - after so many years they dont do anything anyway
and its almost pointless replacing them with a new one =/

I will check all vac lines, clean the fuel system with addictive. will Update tomorrow. Fuel pump possible that it's on it's way

is the pump giving a clean strong prime when you start the car
when u turn the key to ignition (not start) the CeL should come on for a moment and you should hear the pump prime

okie, changed sparks plugs, fuel pump is alright, fuel pressure alright. Changed couple of Map, Tried another O2 sensor.
here is a video http://youtu.be/VLymtcBl9Ec
When ever i turn steering wheel, it dies. whenever i turn ac off, rpm goes from 0-2000

take you injectors into a reputable mechanic and get them cleaned/serviced
should cost about $100 for all 4 (which is cheap compared to replacements)
also try running a batch of Nulon Total Fuel System Cleaner or Nulon Octane Boost And Clean
with a full tank of BP or Caltex 98
take off your intake pipe at the throttlebody and give the throttle body butterfly and intake manifold insides
a good blast with some carby/throttlebody cleaner - Nulon make a good one but cheaper brands can be had at your local auto store
then i would replace your fuel filter and put on one of those ebay FPR's
this solved a few of my problems - gauge and adjust ability makes it hella easier to troubleshoot
sounds like your tappets need to be adjusted as well
check your ECU for CEL codes
or simply take it to a mechanic lol

I cleaned throttle body,Ivac, changed map sensor, adjust idle. put 98 octane, with fuel system cleaner, changed injectors.
Fuel filter will do it today. I will replace Ivac and see how it goes. I hate problem like that, it is small thing but take more than what expected.
