Civic Hybrid regular car battery change

Question: Honda dealer says to change the regular car battery which starts the car in the civic hybrid needs to be performed by dealer service centre as a computer chip needs to be reset/reinitialised after the change.

They said this is something you can't do by yourself. Charge is about $150 extra...

is this true?

when i changed mine my car went into limp mode. car was ****ed.

Only thing that i can think of that needs any sort of reset is the radio.

Otherwise it is a standard battery.
