Circuit Club’s Eastern Creek twilight track night -17-11-11
There's a silver lining to every cloud...and in our case, it was the rain! Our Twilight event started on a nice slippery track with intermittent rain keeping it that way. So out went the first group who struggled to find any grip and had to experiment different lines. The times just got faster and faster though as drivers started to find the line that worked best for them. With the track drying out as the sun was going down there was no shortage of excitement out there!

When most would steer clear from a wet track let alone a twilight track night, Neova Cup competitor seized the opportunity to try out the AD08 in the wet conditions. The results speak for themselves (a top 10 placing 7th and 8th). Anyone saying that AD08 are sketchy in the wet needs to be told!
With very mildly tuned cars; air filters, exhaust, and set of AD08. Advan Neova Cup competitors Rob in his MY06 Subaru WRX, and Sean in his Mazda RX8 came in respectable 7th and 8th in the Circuit club lap times. A wet track and rain meant that 4WD cars had the advantage, and it showed on lap time boards with 50% of them making up the top 10 cars. Advan Neova Cup competitor Rob managed a respectable time of 2:15.09 in his Subaru WRX saying that the AD08 held up well even with its Semi-slick tread design and at no time did he feel any aquaplaning.

Right behind Rob was Sean in his AD08 equipped Mazda RX8, getting a best time of 2:16.30 and claiming the title of the fastest rear wheel drive car on night.
Both cars are daily drivers. They literally drove the car to Eastern Creek banged out a couple of session and drove home on the same set of Advan Neova AD08. No tyre changing required.
Designed as an all year, all season tyre the large tread pattern means that the AD08 are able to leave the largest possible footprint similar to racing semi-slick tyres and its unique tread pattern allows the tyres to effectively channel water away without comprising grip .
