Iv had my intake near the floor of the engine bay just for a temp thing and then it started to rain heaps heavy so whilst I was trying to drive slow the motor struggled abit so I pulled over and turned the car off then pulled my intake off and found a bit of water on the throttle body.. What happens if water gets in plus what do u do?

if small amount of water enter the engine, it's not a big deal, it will evaporate. But when even big amount of water enter the engine, the engine would not start, or hard to start. If it gets into the crankcase than it will break down the oil and will cause significant internal damage if driven for to long

Take spark plugs and have a look inside the cylinder for any water.

Take the spark plugs out & crank the motor. You will instantly see any water come out of the cylinders. If no water comes out after about half a dozen or so cranks you should be fine. If water comes out, I would be towing it back home or somewhere to at least do an oil & filter change and re-check everything from there

If you see any water, I would suggest oil change, just in case.

as mentioned above, if you only got a bit of water in it then you will be OK, however if you got alot of water in it you could damage the engine. not from water getting in the oil but from hydrolock, the extra pressure on piston is passed onto the Rods and big end bearings, its not uncommon for the rods to bend or bearings to fail.
