Hi guys
I'm new to this forum and also new to modding.
I've been trying to find parts that are 100% compatible for adding aux input for my car (2003 VTiS Jazz)
I would like to know if there are any 03' Jazz owners out there or GD1 owners that have had installed ipod/aux inputs for their car without changing to an aftermarket headunit
If so, please link me the product! I'm getting fed up with using FM transmitters!
PS: so far I've found these products.

They didn't list that a GD1 would be compatible but also never listed they're incompatible... Is there any experienced modders out there to help this noob out?
Does the GD1 have a casette input? I know you can get casette to AUX for cars from JB for ~$20
this might help, it's about 04' jazz though talking about AUX/CD button

Sadly the GD1 does not have a cassette input
I'm looking on Enfig for some. However they never list anything related to a 02-05 Jazz/Fit *sadface*
Im not confident enough to solder my own auxiliary lol
Take it to a audio specialist like strathfield car radios or streetbeats if your in sydney, they'll be able to give you an alternative and do hands on work for you.

Hey mate,
I did a DIY aux cable on my girlfriend's jazz. It was fairy simple...I just spliced an AUX cable and put connectors on the end to go into the back of the standard CD player.
If you're interested pop by my place sometime and I'll do it for you.

Do you have parts for the job?
I called up JB HiFi and asked for a quote on the parts and installation
So far they haven't told me anything about the parts but quoted $90+ for the job

If you buy a cable for 5 bucks I'll do the job for free.

Which cable?
Also if I wanted to get the port mounted near the cup holder how long should the M-F cable be?
cable: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=WB1504&keywords=2+core+cable&form=KEYWORD
1m should be more than enough (sold by the metre anyway)

An AUX cable. The idea is to hook the cable directly to the back of the head unit, no port needed. This is the set up in my gf's jazz:

AUX cable and iPod charger coming out of the glove box.

Yeah I know thats what most DIY jobs do, hooking it to the glove box, what i want to do instead is
Drilling a hole near the charger socket and then having the auxiliary there.

You can mount it anywhere, up to your imagination.
It could come out of your steering wheel if you wanted lol

Wow for bump.
I just cut up an auxiliary cable I had lying around and used pins from an old pc connector. $1 job.

that DIY AUX cable is ghetto ...but i like the idea..
for a much simpler plug and play option would be just to buy an IPOD FM Modulator. They come in all different shapes and form. even some those that holds your phone (like a phone holder) that plugs directly to your 12v cigi socket. charges/plays/acts as handsfree all in one! ..
fcking wynning!
