205/45/17 replace with 215/50/17 ?

Would 215/50/17 tyres be able to fit on my current wheels, currently got 205/45/17 tyres on them ?

The tyre will probably fit the wheel, assuming the width is at least 6.5" (for future reference a picture of the wheel doesn't really help), but you are setting yourself up for big problems. The diameter of the 215/50 is much larger than your current tyre and will probably rub if you are fitting these to your civic.
