i hadnt started my car for 4 weeks cause it had a flat battery, so i charged it up last night and started it, i let it warm up and gave it a bit of a rev, then i realised it is now revving past 5500rpm while stopped? is this something to do with the ecu being reset or something??? thanks

was your engine cold?
were you revving to 5500rpm when stationary?

if yes to both then thats normal
its to prevent you from over revving your car when cold or stationary
probably best you dont do that again lol

are you sure the throttle cable isn't obstructed from removing battery ect..?

when i removed my battery in my car recently after not starting it for a while it was idling at 3k rpm, quick look and seen that the throttle cable was bent out of place (whoopsy). Moved it back (it was hooked on something) and it was fine.

Happened to me. I opened up the ECU and found a K100 in it.

Sounds like you got a Hondata in there. You have an ecu issue. Shoot me a PM if you want me to have a look at it

So how did you fix it?

I think he meant he fixed his original post!

Is it still 'Not' revving past 5.5k rpm, or is it 'now' revving past 5.5k rpm compared to before where it didn't?

Or does he mean it's 'idling' past 5.5k rpm while stopped???

u mad?

Why neg him when he did not give out incorrect information?

Why neg him when he did not give out incorrect information?

Because he didn't give out any information.

I thought the same as 'u mad?', in that he fixed the issued, but neglected to tell people what it was, or how he fixed it.
