Hey everyone,

I've just taken the original nissin rear pads out of my ek1 to be replaced. I had a look on the bendix website and I can find pads with the same measurements, but they are missing 2 tabs from on top of the pad. I've had a look pretty much everywhere I can think of online and none of the pads that I have come across have these tabs, unless I want to get some posted from either America or England.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem? They don't seem to serve any purpose...

What sort of pads have you all put on your EK1s?

two tabs? Do u mean shims? Only OEM ones come with them.

It's all too easy to get the wrong one, as EK came out with a few different pads. Take out the old one and take it to Repco/Super's etc..., can't fail that way.

This the Bendix code you need for EK1 brake pads front + rear.

Also try QFM - quality parts at an affordable price. I recently bought mine here, yet to install though...

QFM unfortunately not so good anymore since they started getting produced in Thailand I think it is. One of their main distributors in Melbourne have pulled the pin on them partly due to this reason (and I swore by them for years). Look into Bosch Quick Stop as an alternative

The main reason why a lot of people are going to Thailand is due to costs, along with the fact that Australia/Thailand share a free trade agreement (as well as a host of other countries) and this is why everything is being made there
