Hey guys, wondering if I could get a bit of help on this one,

06 CL9, working perfectly fine until today, drove it yesterday and it was perfect.

Today try to start it and it makes a fast clicking noise and all display flickers. However when the key is in and 'primed' to start the car, all the displays light up and the music works etc but it wont start.

Additionally the ABS warning light came on straight away, then that went away and I'm getting an air bag warning light!

From what I read on this forum, I gather that it could be the battery\starter motor or immobiliser, for the record I tried the spare key to no avail :(

Confused and worried!!!

sounds like a flat battery mate,

either get a charger for it, or get a car and idle it to charge the battery.

when my starter motor died my idiotic work mates tried to jump start mine and blew my VSA.

also my alternator just died and if you need it replaced Asdown Ingram have them for $628

best of luck but most likely battery

Cheers, I jump started it and went to an auto electrician who said the battery was fine and the alternator was working normally too! He asked to visit again tomorrow just to be sure.....

Seems to be okay, but then if i leave it for a while (hour or two) it starts really weak, then the revs drop and I think its about to die but then it becomes normal...really odd, almost as if its about to stall but then doesn't.

replace battery, I can bet that your electrician don't have any clue how to check battery properly ;)

So I went in there and he said it was charging fine after testing a few things including pulling some juice from inside etc. I might just go ahead and replace the battery to be sure though, dont want a flat battery during christmas time!
Cheers for the input guys

exact same thing happened to me the next morning after picking up my 06' CL9. absolutely shit myself as i thought i had bought a dud. Turned out to be the battery... ABS and air bag lights came on not only on the speedo thing but also on the trip meter.. get a new battery.. will probably find its the orginal 2006 battery
