Ok so i'm in the middle of my b swap. I plan on re-sleeving/tucking my engine loom and when I was taking it apart, I noticed that there was no VTPS(Vtec Pressure Switch) or plug rather to plug into the switch.

Been doing some research and apparently JDM 18c2 engine looms don't have the VTPS and only the VTS(Vtec Solenoid). And if matched with a JDM P72 ECU .. OBD2A in my case .. it won't throw any error codes and vtec will function normally with just the VTS connected. Previous owner confirmed that VTEC was def operational.

Now.. my engine was rebuilt not long ago and I think the guy who did it used different parts to put it back together.. OBD1 Head.. JDM OBD2A loom (maybe) .. OBD2A AUDM ECU - I confirmed the ECU isn't JDM cos it's rectangular and not square or someshit.

Is this true about the VTPS not used for JDM versions?? Can anybody confirm this?
Or am i missing something completely here...??

I have a 96 b18c with JDM p73 ECU and it only has the VTS.

yea nah i just sussed it out.. JDM only use VTS..

If using AUDM ECU it can be bypassed so you don't need the VTPS plug at all.

I'll make a DIY when I do it.

ahhh well that makes sense.. since i'm using an OBD1 head with the VTPS but still the 2A loom which doesn't have it.
