NOTE: This thread is from an American forum & is based on the idea of creating a V8 by using Honda OEM parts. I am posting this simply for an enjoyable read for anyone who has not seen this thread already

I know that he hasn't had the chance to finish it, but would anybody here is australia go as far as he has. Like I stated, posted it for a read, and the engineering minded people will enjoy more than just your average enthusiast

this idea has been thrown around before
you would need to cast a custom block in the same specs as for example a k20a block
than bolt on k20a cylinder head + all OEM k20a parts, wiring harness, s2000 gearbox (assuming RWD)
u would have to custom make the intake manifold
u may have problems making up a crank for it as well
just look what they did with the arial atom V8 - two motorbike 4cylinders mated into a v8
the previous atom was powered by a supercharged k20a lol

Would be EPIC if successfull, a point is not needed, if he is willing to try it, that is awesome

I say add two more cylinders to the nxs motor.

did you give thought to how much more complex this endeavor would be?

Maybe he could find one of these.
Honda has never built a V8 for passenger vehicles, which detractors often criticize the company for. In the late 1990s, the company resisted considerable pressure from its American dealers for a V8 engine (which would have seen use in top-of-the-line Honda SUVs and Acuras), with American Honda reportedly sending one dealer a shipment of V8 beverages to silence them.[25]
However, Honda has built V8s for racing, most notably for Formula One. Honda is also the sole engine builder for Indy Racing. The Honda Indy V-8 has a 10,300 rpm redline. Also, their affiliate Mugen Motorsports (now known as M-Tec) has built racing V8s that eventually found their way into limited production road cars as well as concept cars. Their MF408S engine, which powers cars in the ALMS, is also found in prototype racers such as the Mooncraft Shiden. It is also known for being the engine in the Honda Legend based Honda Max concept.

By saying that means you have missed the point of this exercise.

Dont get me wrong........ great idea and an interesting read. But its a project if you want to brag and pose with.
No one really finishes it as it is not financially feasible to spend so much to stand next to..
Rather a fully built V6 3.2 NSX motor.. will also be more reliable
