Things I suspect it can be

Front windscreen weather seals (they seem old and lifted)
Air-con (ruling this out because it seems to drain to the ground as I see water spots after parking the car plus water is under the carpet on both sides)
Heater Core (ruling out as its not coolant and I'm not loosing coolant)
Sunroof Drain (upon visual inspection, they don't seem blocked, but what is the actual path the drain pipe takes and could it be leaking into the cabin?
Door seals (ruling out as seats, doors and top of carpet is not wet only the under layer)

So 2 thinks on the highly suspect list
Sunroof drain pipes(how to diagonose?) and
weather seals where can I get these done?

In the meantime Im soaking up the water by laying lots of newspaper between the floor and the carpet.

Take the plastic base of the windscreen out & clean out the dirt & leaves.
(It's held in with trim clips so be careful not to bust them)
It sounds like the crap has built up to an extent where the water can flow over the lip & dow through the fan.

Edit - & go to Bunnings & buy some "DampRid"
That's soud up the water & water vapor when you're not in the car.

This. Happened to me also. You can replace the clips with items from SCA or wherever if necessary but just be careful.

Sunroof drain hoses I reckon. They run down the a pillar and meant to drain outside the fender. They can sometimes move over time and cause the leak at the right n left foot well.
The rears start from the b pillar and head down on top of the rear quarter glass to the rear boot area(well for DC2-not 100% for eg)
My eg is doing the same thing. Check the rear hose outlets as well cos they might be leaking also.

Remove roof lining to get access to sunroof and the drain hoses..you might have to fiddle around under the dash to check if its still draining to the fender..

Thx for replies guys, already went woolies the other night and have got 2 buckets of damp rid in the car already :) will check the plastic under windscreen.

If sunroof drain is blocked wont leak come from the sunroof?

Quick question, the sunroof when closed probably shouldn't be letting too much water into the drain hoses right? Coz yeah floor is pretty wet so me thinks it is most likely the plastic under windscreen.

Yeah I guess it depends how much its pissing down..

Check windscreen first since its easier..then go from there
Check your cowl thingy n make sure its sealed properly too. - oh wait that's what you're already doing.

So who has experience with checking the sunroof drain hoses on the rear of an ek.. Getting suspect water leak into the boot as well,

Where to look for particular connection as pictured above in the rear?

Pull out that triangle shaped plastic foot well protector at the front left and right corners, on drivet side it's behind abs unit. on passenger side (a bitch to get to), you gotta have small hands and shove them blindly between the tinest gap between that white air con thing.

if it's anything like a dc2, it'd be behind the quarter panel plastic trims (if you get what i mean? lol). it's a hose that leads to an opening behind your rear bumper.

Reckon I can see hose if I remove speaker covers (I currently have no rear speakers)

Checked the back, rear drain hoses are connected therefore must be boot seal or rear quarter window seal...
