Hi guys, looking to run a 215/50/15 tyre on my eg. Car has rolled guards and can be slightly pumped if needed. What offset would I need on a 15x8 rim to run these?

I would go +23 front with at least -2 degree for a nice fit. Are you going to run 15x8 all round or 15x7 on the rear? If you're running 15x7 on the rear, +18 will be the correct offset for you, otherwise just stick with +23

What tyre brand makes that width in 15" ?

Yokohama, Dunlop etc

I'm going to be running 8" all round. Will natural camber be enough assuming the car is just tucking tyre on the +23?

Depends on if you have your guards rolled & how far you have lowered it

Guards rolled. Pumped also if need be. Lowered enough to tuck the tyres with that sizing (or about 90mm high to bottom of rear subframe

Should all fit. Don't see why it won't. But not 100% as i'm running 225/45R16 on the front (Yokohama A050) which are slightly wider than 225 and with -2.5 degree of camber it all sits flush, tho I'm running slightly higher ride height than you

Am I right in saying that 45/60 is taller than 50/15? Can you turn lock to lock?

You know what I'm actually struggling to find a company who does a tyre that size. I just assumed they wouldn't be too hard to find. Just checked yoko and Dunlop sites and couldn't see any

Yes I can turn lock to lock and 45r16 is pretty much same rolling diameter as 50r15. I will make a phone call now and try to get some for you

Just spoke to a couple of people. Have been advised to run a stretched 195/50r15 so there is no scrubbing

I think I would rather run a 205. Would 20 or 25 offset be more suitable. Don't really want stretch if I can avoid it

I looked up the yoko site on google and it was 2 years out of date (no 225's mentioned). I found I had to google the actual name and size to find it. I'm with you, crobaa, in not wanting that much stretch. One of the guys on CRX Aus is running 15 x 8 + 25 with !95/50's and the sidewalls are under too much distortion in my opinion. Wouldn't take much to pull them off the bead and deflate. 205 or 215 would be much better. He has to run some negative and rolled guards. EG's have a bit more room.
I'm running 225/50/15 on my EG with offset of 38+, I can't remember what camber I'm running at the moment I'm not home till Tuesday but I have my camber and everything at home.
My guards have been rolled too and I'm running 10mm spacers, I get no scraping but I'm running with really hard suspension/shocks so there isn't alot of movement there.

+38 with a 10mm spacer is effectively +28 am I right? Surely you must have issues turning lock to lock. I have bc coils & dc2r sway bars so hopefully not too much Play either. 225 on an eg is huge. Have you got any pics?
I think definitely with a more stretched tyre you create a smaller contact patch and reduce the integrity of the sidewall. I can't imagine any reason to have it other than looks and I'm pretty sure it would heavily reduce handling.
