just wondering how do these cams work.
how can it make the car quicker by killing the vtec??

I think your a little confused... killer vtec cams normally mean cam's with huge vtec lobes thus a massive vtec advancement. They deliver more power as there designed to make power later in the rpm range with a aggressive cam lobe. Its cam depended and also brand dependent i suggest looking at the toda cam's there about the best NA products you could buy check out www.toda.com.au

Jun manufacture cams dubbed killer cams....but if you make a comparison with their lift and duration, its not nearly as high and long as other companies like TODA and EF1

toda has some hardcore products for honda's, when u say killer cams, its not a specific brand, just a nickname for some lumpy cams.

i want some killer cams :)

They kill the Vtec function. It no longer exists... Removed, gone etc...
Hense the name...

Killer cams as slang is for houso's...
It is an meaningless as saying you've got a "Stage 3" set-up...

Setting the camshaft LCA to that which you require via Vernier pulleys. Such a camshaft would return you timing figures of 37.5.67.5

For those of you who don’t know cams etc and are now thing…

I’m glad you asked…

Here’s what we know…
The requested camshaft is an intake camshaft.
It has a total advertised duration of 280deg…
It has a required lobe centre angle of 105deg (LCA)
This is determined from the 35.65 reference. (Old school ref style)

Ok…
It’s all in the numbers…
1st number is the 1st timing number.
Obviously the 2nd being the second.
Thus, 35 deg prior to top dead canter the intake valve is set to start opening.
65 deg after bottom dead centre the intake valve is set to close.
The timing figures also indicate it is an intake camshaft.
An exhaust camshaft of the same grind would read 65.35.
Though no lift figures are indicated, the LCA can be calculated thus a general idea of how the camshafts might perform can be assumed.
(If you know what you’re on about)
The LCA can be determined from total duration over 2 minus the 1st timing figure.
That is, 280 / 2 = 140...
140 - 35 = 105...
