Hi all,

I just took a delivery of MY12 CU2 luxury and I'm very impressed with the amount of car you can get for the money.
One tiny thing that I feel lacking since I'm moving up from civic FD with lower suspension plus cusco FSB and RSB is the car doesn't feel as planted when it goes around bend.

I was looking online last night and I can only found a 22mm Progress rear sway bar that will suit Acura TSX 2 which is a CU2.
is there any other company that makes RSB for CU2?

The cusco that I had on my FD was 23mm rear and 28mm front so I was quite surprised that the Progress RSB is smaller for bigger and heavier car.

I was also thinking on getting lowering spring kit but since the CU2 is a longer car compared to my FD and the fact that I have managed to scrape the front bumper coming out from office driveway, I will hold it until I find a new job which has a flat car park.. Haha..

I notice there are a few lowering spring kits available for CU2, has anyone had any experience with them? Progress, eibach, tein H and S tech were some of the kits that I've seen online. I fitted my FD with Tein S-Tech and it suit my driving style really well and the in laws didn't complaint about the ride quality (They are big Toyota fan which in my opinion have the super soft suspension settings).

Thank you in advance.

Have you checked Throwndown/Excellerate Performance?

I want to get one myself but... I'm really noob with sway bars etc :S

Progress is one of the better bars since its got 2 settings iirc (soft and hard)

Ps... They are the only company I know that maks RSB for cu2 actually...

Is there a difference between a 'progress sway bar', a 'rear sway bar' and an 'anti roll bar' or something?

Thanks for the replies..
I'll do some more research on the progreas RSB and I'll contact Whiteline to see if they can make a custom one for CU2..

I mighy be looking at buying Tein H-Tech as I don't want to get my CU2 too low.
Cosport USA has a few springs and progress RSB.
Let me know if anyone is interested so I can arrange a group buy.

Keep an eye on the sprig rate.

I recently traveled from Brisbane to Melbourne in my cl9, with about 50kg of stuff in the boot and... Gee if I had the car lowered it'd be a hell of a scary drive :-)

I prefer Progress over Whiteline in terms of their product quality.

I totally agree mate, I do quite a few long distance trips & there is no way I would want the car lowered. The ride is firm enough with 18's without altering spring/shock rates, or fitting a firmer rear sway bar.

A thicker rsb won't change anything to do with suspension such as height spring rates etc.

The best suspension mod you can do if you want a stock ride is a rsb imo.

As for whitline comparing to progress it may be better quality but all in all its a bit of steel so it came be that different. Bushings on the other hand. I changed them straight away.

I would be interested in a RBS. And thanks, didn't know 'Progress' was a brand lol. I only knew about Whiteline.

If anything, PM me since we're not allowed to discuss things here. Depends on the pricing too :S

Another note for lowering the CU2

with a "full" load the ground clearance for a CU2 is 110mm!!!! on stock suspension!

Sorry Aaron, I didn't know that it wasn't allowed..
I'll stick with stock sussy settings for now and give it a chance to know my CU2 a bit more...
RSB is still one of my options as I just measured the stock RSB is only 15mm...

 Eibach springs + Progress Rsb 22mm... feels alot more planted around corners and improved braking... downside maybe alittle bumpy, but good value for money!

Surely am..
What sort if coupon is this..?
I'm on 18 inch lux rim and the ride is already quite bumpy so I might opt with the RSB for the time being.
What endlinks are you using?

I'm about to order Progress RSB with some other stuff from heeltoe.
I want to get some suggestion what other parts should I get to save on postage.
I had a look at the Hawks HPs brake pads but I'm not sure I should replace the pads since my CU2 is only a month old.
The stock brake pads is crap but should I spend $160 on brake pads alone??

Fredoops: were you watching tennis or you're normally up this late? :p
I'm still unsure about K&N drop in filter, will it void the car warranty if I change the filter to this?
And do you reckon I will better off replacing the pads now then later when stock ones need replacing? Will it void the car warranty?
I'm not planning on lowering my CU2 since I scrapped it twice after only two weeks coming out from office driveway. I know, I need to find a new job with an office that has a flat driveway.

I'm so tempted to lower it to get better handling... The dilemma.........

no it wont. its just a direct replacement to the oem one. As if u change oil brands to something better. will not void warranty.

just had my progress 22mm RSB installed onto my cu2 which has a takeda SRI, teins super street coilovers and fujitsubo exhaust.

the ride so much better and makes the tune chipped engine so much more fun to drive...

but just note they is a tiny mod to the exhaust flangers that needs to be done but does not affect the exhaust one bit.

also SRI does not void your warranty...have checked this with a few dealers and they are all fine with it.

Are you using the stock endlinks?
I will attempt a DIY sway bar install this time, so is this exhaust flange issue DIYable for a newbie???

it is

but...
It'll take you at least an hour, it takes an workshop with a lift 15 minutes.

I had a shop install all my header cat, strut bar rsb etc for $160, as much as I want to DIY. I dont have a crane.

if you are using the stock exhaust then that should be fine as it is a single straight unit as opposed to the fujitsubo exhaust I have on my car which comes in sections and are bolted at flange points.

if you get the progress rsb, there is a bit of drilling that needs to be done as the screw fittings are 10mm as opposed to 8mm on the stock car. In general it should be a simple diy as mine was a little bit tricky i had a shop do it for me.

1: Progress adjustable rear sway bar at 22mm (8mm stock holes require drilling to fit 100m bolts)
2: Ultra Racing Rear Sway bar at 19mm

Any other vendors that make one for CU2?
Any Australian or Japanese companies?

They don't have one (that can be accessed from the website).

Looks like they haven't updated their website since 2013, though....
