Hi guys.
http://i43.tinypic.com/2e1g5g5.jpg
Where I have pointed out in picture, what is under there? I was looking yest in the engine bay, I happened to notice a clip (marked in yellow) isnt fully in of that cap cover type thing (red).
Looked to the left side and I see a tube I think not inserted in properly under that cap thing with some grey foam kinda out, and the tube goes nowhere, it ends just after a foot downwards. Im stumped.
Thanks
(ps, googled a pic for the cl9 engine, arronngs engine bay was the clearest :D)

That's the air inlet, the engine suck air in from that then down to a air resonator box which should be behind the bumper but seeing as you have a short ram cold air intake it must have been removed, then up again to the air filter box then into the engine.
If you get what I'm on about lol

oh wasnt 100% clear. The engine pic wasnt mine, off google. I have stock intake. I think i might open it up as have to install an icebox. Ill take some pics.

That's the inlet to the resonator. Once you install the Icebox, it does not draw air through the resonator anymore since you have to remove it as part of the installation. So the part that you have pointed to with the arrows can be removed. Underneath is the intake pipe which can also be removed when you are installing the Icebox.

all makes sense now, thanks. I hadnt realized the stock resonator would extend to that side too. However you wouldnt believe, when I opened the bumper up i had the air horn of the icebox already installed lol. The lid had been changed to stock though.
After changing definitively feel a difference now. Revving is a bit more smooth and a bit more response low end and mid. Sound wise is almost the same, as had the resonator already removed. i must try a stock car to see the difference in sound :)
Edit: I thought I might add that having a clean air filter would have helped too, as the old one needed replacing.
