Just rang my local stealer and v18 is also available for the CL9 with part # 39010SVAL05.

Hi all,
I have the V18 from an Accord Euro Lux Navi (CU2).
Part Number: 39010-TC0-Q05
$50 (Postage Included) Each.
Please PM me or email (caude_ad@hotmail.com) for more information or payment details.
Pickup and Drop offs available in Melbourne CBD or Box Hill Area.
I will be testing each individual disk in my own Accord Euro prior to sending them out.
This disk will definitely work in your car if your current disk has a file called "U0001_02.BAS", If your disk has heaps of KWI files then you will need the disk in this thread for CL9.
Thanks.
Can you not see that everyone in here wants it for the cl9 not the cu2.

It doesn't work, MY12 is alpine reader, it will be using BAS files, where as the CL9 ones uses KWI files instead which is the Mitsubishi reader.
It is really easy to work out if your disk will work or not.
Simply stick the disk in your comp, look at what file type is the largest file, if it is BAS then CU2 Alpine (post 2008), if it is KWI then CL9 Mitsubishi (pre 2008)

Also, further to Paradizzle's post, apparently it needs to be burnt to a dual-layer DVD disc and there is a special way to burn it. Certain parameters on the burning program need to be changed prior to burning.
Good quality disc is paramount as well.
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=47076&page=3
People, I bought a copy of the V18 DVD for my MY09 CU2 from a guy on this forum.
It came on a no name disc and worked perfectly in my car.
Decided to make a backup just in case the disc failed later on. I used CDBurner XP on my Windows 7 pc to make an ISO image and stored it on my pc harddisk. I then used the same software to copy the ISO image to a TDK DVD-R disc and it works perfectly in my car.
Not sure if TDK is good quality or not and it is definitely not dual layer but it works well.
Sorry guys, just realised this is a CL9 thread

Have tried. Big download, but unfortunately it contains .BAS files which are not compatible with the Mitsubishi readers on earlier Accords.
Thanks though :)
You are definitely right , as far as I know ...Look at the largest file of your disc and you will see :
File Types: (Large Files' extension)
.BAS (CU2 Version, Alpine Reader)
.KWI (CL9 Version, Mitsubishi Reader)
1GB is not too big for download my friend ....:)

So what program do u use to join? I tried WinRAR but it doesn't like it.
Never mind I answered my own question. I used the program called 7-Zip and then burnt the files onto a DVD disc. Sadly it seems I have the Mitsubishi Reader and require the disc with the .KWI file. If anyone knows of who would have this disc or where to get it from for cheap please share.
If I can obtain a copy I will upload and share it on here. Remember sharing is caring

Hi guys,
Would anyone be interested in selling me an OLD version of a disk that uses KWI files and posting it to NZ? I've a JDM 2003 CM2 wagon. I have a couple of factory Navi DVDs but of course everything is in Japanese.
Just for shits and giggles I'd like to see what an Aussie disk would do (if anything) - I do understand the maps will be incorrect but they couldn't be any worse that the ones i have now.
Thanks
pete

I have V18 which covers AUS & NZ apparently, but I'm very curious if it would work on a CM2.
I have been wondering if the discs can work from different countries or if the navigation unit is locked onto a particular country.
All righty - how would I go about getting a disk? I completely understand that this could be a total shot in the dark, so not expecting any money back guarantees or anything.

Hi Bob, disk received ok. I disconnected the car battery for about 5 minutes (to clear the current settings) reconnected and attempted to load the disk. When first powered up the display shows the green bar that probably says (its in japanese) "load the disk". When I nisert the disk it still has a green bar but the script changes, probably now saying "wrong disk" or something like that and doesn't go any further.
Putting the original Honda (japanese) disk in loads up and i get everything back (ie maps of Tokyo, japanese voice prompts, etc).
So - Aussie disk is not compatible with JDM navi system. Another piece of the Honda Navi jigsaw.
Anyone want an Aussie Honda V18 disk? :)

It usually means it ha encountered a error while reading the disk. Which means the copy that you made is bad.
Use better media and burn it slow, 1x or 4x which ever one you can get access to.
Sometimes the melbourne heat will destroy or damage the copy, which will have this issue too.

Hi Guys, my daughters just bought a 2006 Accord Euro Lux for her first car that has v13 disc so I took a punt and bought a Honda V20 Whereis disc with no p/n's that was not compatible with the player. I've checked the disc in the PC and its has a bas file which, from my searches on the forum indicates that it would not be suitable.
What is the latest version DVD available for the 06 Accords and does anyone have one they would like to sell or swap with mine?
Migman
22-11-2016, 10:51 PM
Hi Racerx,
From my previous research it looks like V18 is the latest version that you can get for this vehicle. The DVD should have .KWI files on it.
Volume label (when you insert the DVD into your PC) for V13 should be N899K10610 if we're talking about the same system.
Racerx
22-11-2016, 11:36 PM
Thanks Migman,
Your correct, my original V13 disc has the .KWI files and the new disc has the .BAS files hence the incompatibility.
