Need help guys.

Woman went down to coles, came back to the car and could not unlock it with the remotely.

Attempted to manually open the door with the key which triggered off the alarm for some time and died out.

I went down to the carpark within 20mins.
Used my key, same deal.

car wont even start. ie wont ignite, just dead silent.

Noticed the parker lights going nuts, spent about 2hours trying to figure it out and just left it there for now.

any ideas, im going down there first thing in the morning.

Sounds like the battery's dead. I reckon one of the lights were left on.

Super weak battery = remote door unlock

Alarm coming on when you use the key and then turning itself off after a while = totally flat battery.

Cheers Aaron.

Battery replaced and seems to be back to normal for now.

its an NRMA battery with one of those holes which appears to have a colour to it.
According to the label on the unit this is meant to mean battery is good?

Am I missing something?

The colour in the hole just shows the density of the acid in the battery. It shows the condition of the acid but does not tell you if the plates are damaged or worn out. Happened to me before, battery said it was good but it didn't have any charge to even unlock the locks.
