Hondas aggressive pricing helped the Euro last month locally,as it was the 2nd most popular model in the medium sector under $60 000.
1.Toyota Camry 1532
2.Honda Accord Euro 638
3.Mazda 6 596.

I think if they put V6 engine in camry like aurion, camry will be a good car too. Wait and see the new model.
Well the New normal Accord were out of stock due to Thailand floods which may have contributed to the people buying a Euro instead.

The Aurion is the same car as a Camry! Just a different shell LOL.
Look at the doors and the roof, all same part. You can see influence in the boot and bonnet as well.
Toyota wanted to get rid of the "Retirement age market" people associated with the Camry so they split the 4 Cylinders and V6 models and made a Camry with a bodykit and badge-engineered it as the V6 Aurion.
Seemed to have work.

lol at big..your car is just as big these days..obese just like the 'fat' accord.
Except the Accord is larger than the Falcon and the Accord Euro is still smaller than the Camry. Sure, it's bigger than the CL9 but not as bloated as the Thai Accord.
I disagree with Prajas comment about the Camry being incomparable to the Accord Euro.
The Accord Euro is the direct competitor to the Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, Subaru Liberty, Suzuki Kizashi.
The Accord is for the more mature aged market, less of a wannabe sports car look and a firmish/tight feeling ride and more of a older person enjoying retirement look with the old 7 series backside and the driving sensation of a boat.
The Accord competes with the likes of the Commodore, Falcon and Maxima.

The falcon weighs like 1800kg, the accord 1500 something..very similar to the Euro.

Oh, sorry. I meant no disrepect, assumed you were a Euro driver as I have never seen an Accord owner here.
\he euro is in no way shape or form a sports car.\
Which is why I mentioned that it is a wannabee sporty car with it's design and firmer suspension and heavier steering to the Accord.
I just read on Whirlpool (last gen Hondas though - probably more unbiased than ozhonda) that the Euro was the pick of the Accord variants for a sporty drive and that the grandparents were happy with the normal Accord:

SIDENOTE: Why is there such a lack of the normal Accord owners in ozhonda? Are they just too mature for our little ricer talks?

Okay then, the Accord must be better than the Euro if what you say is true.
Just curious, what made you pick the Accord over the Euro?
Was it just more leg room for your kids?

No kids..im 27, how bout you? I've seen plenty of grannies though in the Euro as well! I wanted a v6 and I liked the body shape , plain and simple. Of course i had in my mind I would mod it a bit as well as I dont like how it looks from factory.

Yep, different boats for different folks. I believe that as long as you enjoy and like your car then don't worry about what other people think :).
More leg room is better for long road trips.
Also takes skills to park a boat, reason why girls get smaller cars because it's harder to park a bigger car.
Anyways Dont know why you girls are arguing which is a better car, both are pretty slow at the end of the day

Couldn't agree more.. when I want a fast car, it definitely won't be a honda.

You're getting off topic..it doesn't matter what car I drive...your original statement about the accord driving like a boat, was what I was challenging and is unfounded. The discussion on whirpool is a joke..two completely different models than we are talking about. It may not be as sharp as the Euro, but in no way does that mean it drives like a boat.. the 8th gen accord was one of the leaders in its class in handling and then won drive car of the year.
As far as I remember, the Euro won Wheels car of the year 2008,and then the South African guild of motor journalists award for 2009...

If you bothered to actually read the discussion instead of chipping in at the end, you'd realise i wasn't comparing the accolades of the accords vs the euro, just disputing the remarks made of the accord in their own light.

He wasn't talking out of his ass, the Accord won wheels car of the year in 1977 so it did indeed win wheels car of the year.
Good to see that Accord still going strong.
Don't beat yourself up about experience, I wouldn't even know how to handle that Accord with all these electronic steering and ABS gizmo's we got now days. I'm sure you have much more experience than me! I tilt my hat to you, sir.
just disputing the remarks made of the accord in their own light. Never seen a comparative review comment negatively on the handling.
I REVOKE ALL MY PREVIOUS STATEMENTS. DAMN, THAT 1977 CAR OF THE YEAR IS MUSCLE.

Face facts, the Euro is the mid sized benchmark, and has been since its launch in 2003.They are still both Hondas you know...........

Your car is all muscle! Post some pictures up, I wanna see that 77 muscle and none of the Mugen rice we got on our Accords now days.
BUT like you said, too bad it aint a Transformer like ours:

P.S
I think Anthony was implying both the CL9 and CU2 are considered a medium sized sedan.
Lol, seeing the stickers on your car, it doesn't surprise me some of the remarks you made :)
