When you open that door does they cluster say that there's a door open? If not problem is in the door trigger switch in the door jamb under the black rubber open that and have a look. If the cluster reads that there is a door open problem is behind the light area maybe a lose connection

Oh man, funny thing is, my left side cabin light does the same thing while my right side works perfectly. How did you exactly go about in fixing it? Seems very odd for it to happen.

Press the door sensor repeatedly many times with your hand. See if it cleans the contacts.

Are you talking about the cabin light or map lights. Map lights don't come on when you unlock the car.

Im pretty sure its the cabin light, because the right side light turns on when the door is open and dims when the door closes. The left side just stays off.

Do you mean the rubber switch on the side which is only accessible when you open the door? I just tried that but it still have the same issue.
I found a youtube link that completely shows what happens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AITj5mKZJFA

There is 2 cabin lights (right and left)?!?!?

I'm confused by this question. There is only one cabin light in the Euro and it's right in the middle of the roof so what do you mean by right and left cabin light?!?!?
The 2 interior lights at the front though are map lights and like marquee said I'm pretty sure they don't light up with the doors at all.

I think we need to clarify the lights. First, at the front there are the 2 map lights. These don't turn on with the door. Then in the middle of the roof lining, there is the 1 cabin light. This can be set to on/off/door. Then there are the 2 door lights, one on each front door.

my right side front cabin light wont turn on when doors are open...
But they are being very specific that it is the right side and front
I am starting to feel like this is for a normal accord not a Euro coz I think the map lights on them do turn on with the doors

Ok, i must of mistaken the cabin light with the map light sorry about that. I try to explain it abit more clearly, my cabin light is ontop of the passengers head with the on/off/door switch, and there are one door light on each side front door. Then there is two maplights which is on top of the rearview mirror. They do indeed light up when the door is open, and light fades off when the door is close (well my right side of the map light anyways), plus inbetween the map lights there is a switch for door/off.
My car is a 2007 accord euro luxury, so maybe it's because of the luxury standard (sunroof taking most of the middle roof so both cabin and map lights work when door is open/close to brighten whole car) or when the car was built? I'm not too sure.

lol that's my vid :D
I managed to fix this the other day... Taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together fixed it for a week or so the first time I tried it.
Last weekend I thought I'd give it one last shot before caving in and heading to the wreckers. Always suspected it was one metal piece not making proper contact so I took it apart and "bent" the metal contact. Hasn't played up yet but who knows.
