are you sure you wanna take out the a/c ??
australia does get quite hot and i dont think leaving the window open all the time wont help either.. i'd recommend leaving it in...

there have been many turbo conversions made with the a/c still fitted.
were you looking at getting a bolt on kit or a custom one ?

5800 is a good price i think for the conversion, engineered, drive away with warrenty. You wont be blown away with the power of the b16, but a turbo will defaintly make it ur while!!

As for the engine, stock, u dont really need to get rid of aircon, because u will prolly use a log type manifold which will give u plenty of room... That said, if u dont use the aircon, u wont miss it, and it will give u a few more options when the time comes..

My advice: 4 months is just enough to research. Get onto honda-tech and places like homemadeturbo.com and check out exactly what it takes to make a cheap, reliable turbo setup for ur B (yes they do exist)!

man when i did my b16a conversion i chucked aircon *IN*.. haha

b16 is PLENTY of power.. especially for street use.... but if boost is your thing go for it

woah 5800 thats alot of money...
why dont u just chuck all that money onto your current engine and turbo it or something..
i did my conversion for 2000 lol but i did most of the work myself.. half of what your paying would probably be labour.. so yeah if you got some kinda basic knowledge on how things work it wouldnt be too hard to do yourself..(if you could be bothered)

if you boost the JDM B16A, you may want to consider fitting an integra gearbox for some slightly taller ratios - the JDM B16A's ratios are pretty short.

price is a little exp. my JDM B16 and trans etc was $2k plus another $2k labour (and THAT was expensive for labour).

I ditched A/C but kinda want to re-install it. A/C killed the D-series in terms of power so I never used to use it, but with B-series, I think it would be fine.

HI VT3C,

Was your B16A from the JDM EG or the JDM EF? If you have gotten the B16A from eg6 or eg9 with the hidraulic driven clutch, i would say it's a very good price.

Hi VT3C,

Was your B16a from a jdm eg6/eg9 or from the older JDM EF models. Cos if it's from the JDM eg models, then i would say that u bought it really cheap man.

']$7000?

+ rego + warrenty + odb1 conversion to say the least.
either way. turn-key good. u dont have any hassels. think about it, if 2mpress was to do it himself, it would take probaly around 2 weeks. but he works everyday, so thats 1-2months worth of weekends. its alot of hassel, and defaintly worth paying for imo.

i think to save the hassles the package sounds good to me...

b16a is an excellent powerplant...good for the chassis and plenty of room for later work N/A or turbo pathways...
