I heard the engine has less power than ours.
Red guage in the Type S looks very angry, I prefer the calm blue.
Illuminated door sills are brilliant!

Guessing, but I think it was Spirit + Superior = Spirior. Doesn't make much sense and it should be "Superior Spirit" and not "Spirit Superior". Must be a case of bad grammar or literal translation from Chinese (grammar arrangement is in reverse to English).
I guess Superior + Spirit = Superit makes for a silly name anyway.

That is similar to the engine in the 2.4L Thai Accord.
+1 percise explanation

Goodies like leather seats, keyless entry, illuminated sills, 17" rims and sunroof are on the entire model range, but only Navi GPS-equipped models and the Type-S get xenons and red gauges. I haven't seen any with a start/stop button though. It's just an Accord with a fancy name :)
The K24Z5 engine has 185 hp and runs a lower compression ratio than the US TSX. The most commonly available fuel here is RON93 which explains the lower power figures.

Not sure, haven't had the occasion to change anything :) The Spirior is assembled by Dongfeng Honda with parts from China and Japan, so prices shouldn't be that much different from overseas (excluding duties and taxes).

The European spec Accord Euros even hv the adaptive cruise control thingy....( Japanese Spec CL9 hv them as well)..Pity they don't include it in Aus spec cars, I think that's pretty useful here

That's sweet, we get the basic cruise control on the Spirior but there's no option of adaptive cruise and lane assist like on the Euro and Japan-spec cars. Would make life a lot easier when cruising on Chinese highways with crazy-ass Audi drivers all over the place :)
I can't help thinking the Accord is a little long in the tooth now. No DRL LEDs, no LEDs for brake and signal lights, 80's style monochrome console LCD, 5-speed auto trans... you could mod most of these, but the only things Honda have going for it are perceived reliability and that K24 powerplant.
