you have killed your ICM or Coil
doind a compression test results in the leads being disconnected and the coil producing spark while you are cranking. This unloaded energy kills the coil from time to time.
if this is the case, then ist a bit of bad luck for you, to prevent this you should have disconnected the dizzy during the compression test then reconnect the dizzy, then reset the ECU after you have compleated your compression test.
good luck wiht it.
Sleepy.

-Make sure that you are definately getting spark at the end of each leads.
-Check leads are in the correct sequence.
-ICM has given up or rotar button may be worn out.
abit obvious but hope it helps.

Thankyou! I will replace the ICM this afternoon.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the leads are in the correct sequence. And no, there is no spark at the end of the leads.
ICM will be replaced this afternoon and I will update this thread if I have any luck :)

No point just blindly replacing parts. Do tests first to confirm it's either the ICM or Coil (or both).
You can find guides in the Service Manual, online tutorials or even seen some on Youtube.
Goodluck
