As the topic says, where is the best place to get a CTR grille for 96-98 model in Brissie...and anyone know how much?

Thanks

If you don't end up finding one in Bris, I have a new one that just needs painting I was thinking of selling (in Adelaide).

Hey Macros, yes please do share on how to make your own CTR grille...I am thinking of doing it myself but not sure how. Matter of fact I went out today to find the metal mesh thing that is used.
Know any places in Sydney to get that mesh?..besides AutObarn.

If you can PM me how, that would be cool.

The only way I can see is removing the matt black/plastic grille section with the "H" from the painted part but that means the mesh will sit too far forward (well for my liking anyways).

How is it suppose to sit anyway? And do they use mesh or is it plastic?

I'm pretty sure the genuine CTR grilles are all plastic how genuine parts are supposted to be made (ie nice so they fit properly).

I have seen black mesh (a few colours now actually), I had the natural aluminium punched mesh (same as body kit places) on my old car, its very easy to work with, cut and mould into places, if it can't be secured with some short screws then sikaflex works well but is a pain to remove (acetone *sp works well though).

But I'm not liking the aluminium mesh thing anymore, after awhile it gets dented and I had a small garden stake go through it (fell off a truck infront of me, missed the radiator thank god), so I got this really expensive stainless woven mesh that was an ABSOLUTE pain in the butt to cut and good luck bending it, then my wise panel guy said he could have got some better stuff after I had told him, hahaha (similar to what HSV use on their cars)..

BLKEK: Are they plastic?...because I could have sworn I saw a genuine CTR grill overseas that had the metal mesh just like the one described earlier?

Anyway, so anyone know where to get this metal mesh?..

I've never actually held one to say for sure, but looking at most pics they are plastic, just looks like mesh because it appears to be a honeycombe type shape, I doubt Honda would finsh off an overall quality car with cheap mesh..

do share how?

Cut out the centre.

Mesh + Black paint does the trick.

Them guides are great. I'll have to source the wreckers for a rear grill section :D
