Buying Interstate

Hey guys, newbie here!

I was just wondering what the process is of buying a car interstate?

The car in question is in Canberra and I'm from Sydney ..

How does the rego work, what will i need to make sure of before buying the car .. and anything else you guys can add would be a great help!

Hey Fadee, the RTA website will give you rego info http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/getnewrego/interstatevehicles.html

You pretty much get all the appropriate ACT paperwork/rego papers signed so it is in your name. You then get a blueslip at a workshop and purchase a greenslip aswell. You then take all your paperwork and ACT plates into the RTA fill out the appropriate form and you should be able to get rego in NSW.
