Going to do try get some quotes soon but purchased a 2nd hand Type R wing for a DC5 quite cheap, unfortunately it was fluero green and I need to have it painted pearl white. Anyone have an idea of how much $$ I should be looking at? Cheers :D

if you can prep it yourself, shouldnt be much more than a couple of hundred.
if you want them to do all the work, id say 500ish

Wow $500 really ? thats extremely high just for a type r spoiler. I wouldnt pay over $250-300 for it to be prepped, painted fitted and thats a decent job
I'll probably just fit it myself to be honest, thanks for the replies! $500 does seem a bit much

Few smash repairers at Lansvale do quite a decent job. Had a wing sprayed and fitted for $200. Rear lip for $150. Bars for about $250.

pm CB paint & panel
The correct answer is.......
Call some places and get some prices
I obviously did that before making a thread, but what the yellowpages doesn't tell you is whether they're good or not. On an auto forum you can actually get FEEDBACK which is what I was after, use your head.

cf wrap it and call it a day
Considered Plastidip since I'm blacking out my wheels, could be an idea - have seen it done before.

$50.
DIY.
Buy your spray cans from autobarn, they match the colour to your car colour code.
Harden up princess and DIY, bitch.
LOL
spray can job will leave the surface rough and un-even layers of coat.
mayb with a compressor 2-3hp type enough power just to spray the spoiler.

There's quite a few in that area. Although the one I went to was called sunset smash repairers. This was a while back so I don't know if the pricing is still the same.

plastidip turns out matte doesn't it?
And if a friend fcuks it up or I'm unhappy with his work I gotta re-do it again. Yeah plastidip comes out matte black but it'd match the matte black wheels, heres something similar but without stock wheels:

Johnnys Smash repairs in Bankstown, did a few cash in hand jobs for me. Came out perfect! and only needed the car for 1 day. wouldnt reccomend for big jobs thou. They are dodggy. But bumpers lips wings they did a good job all i did was supply the part. Good colour matching too. My wing cost me 150 but my mechanic knows them (tupak red).

Speaking of PlastiDip being matte, has anyone tried spraying over PlastiDip with a clear coat?

Spray wing $250
Remove and refit $50
If you google it you find a few forums that touch on it and some examples
Spray wing $250
Including sanding it back, filling and priming it etc? Or you mean spraying as if it were new? Its a respray I'm after so needs to be sanded back - when I asked a local place that quoted $480 if I sand it back and/or primer it myself what'll the cost be and they said then they couldn't do it because if I didn't primer/fill it right it'd reflect poorly on their final product.. lulz

Lul. Sanding and rubbing is all part of te prep work before spraying. $250 obviously will included in the price. Roughly costs $350-400 to spray a bar so you add it up. If your wing isn't damaged I don't see why you'd need to prime it? Primer is used to seal the big from repairs. It's useless if you are just respraying to match colour

Make sure you go to a decent body shop using premium paints.
Either way just giving you a heads up that once your wing is resprayed it wont be identicle .
-every spray painter has different tecniques ,paint will have different amounts of pearl.
Pearls are hard too match. But on the other hand pearl white hands down is a great colour.
How do i know this ?i asked my spray painter to spray my door again due to dents and repair.
- he replyed i have to spray the whole side to blend it in or full respray :-(
My car is the lexus is250 red :-)
Just passing on some pearl paint info

should call up some panel beaters or visit some in your area to get a quote
visit a few to get different quotes and work out which is best for you
should be under 300 for respray in my opinion
